Safety & Improvement Reporting (SAFIR)

A ‘best practice’ solution specially designed for the reporting and analysis of events arising from accidents and hazardous occurrences that affect safety and quality on board ships and within the organization.

Customised to meet the safety requirements of section 9 of the ISM Code, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certification. The safety module in BASSnet™ SAFIR handles accidents/incidents and near misses with regard to personnel injuries and damage to property, environment and commercial/service, while the quality module handles audits, inspections, vetting, non-conformities and suggestions for improvements.

Powerful Analysis Tools
• Calculate the trend analysis based on the data entered over the last 5 years or based on a date range.
• View statistical reports on costs and off-hire, and safety and quality factors that affect the vessel’s operations.

Stay ahead with pro-active preparation for inspections
• Set up checklists for audit, inspection and vetting inspections for use when carrying out a self-assessment on the vessel.
• View the Requirements Matrix of the Oil Major to be aware of all industry changes and requirements prior to a vetting inspection

Avoid recurrences by sharing experience with the entire fleet
• Distribute and share ‘Lessons Learnt’ reports that include inspections, audits, vetting, non-conformity, and so on, to the entire fleet.
